Arbitration

Singapore has become the leading arbitration centre in Asia, and probably the world. The growth of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, the expansion of other arbitration service providers and the establishment of the Singapore International Commercial Court have fueled the growth of the sector.


We offer our services in arbitration matters both as counsel and as arbitrator, in domestic and international arbitrations, as well as in applications to the curial courts in matters relating to jurisdiction, setting aside and enforcement.

Our Representative Experience

  • Acted in a complex shareholder dispute between investors and the founder of a chain of aesthetic medicine clinics, including application for a Mareva injunction.
  • Acted in a US$560m dispute involving a dispute in an international shareholders’ agreement related to the trigger of a buyout clause and complex valuation issues arising from the buyout.
  • Acted for large US aviation financier in dispute with a very large regional airline, covering issues of New York and local law as well the transnational effects of insolvency schemes.
  • Acted as counsel appointed by a Big Five Indian law firm in a transnational shareholder dispute involving a United States listed company.
  • Acted as counsel in dispute arising between a fund manager and its asset advisor.
  • Acted as co-arbitrator in project and construction dispute spanning several phases and civil, mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Mediated in commercial and international transactional disputes as SIMC specialist mediator.
  • Instructed as counsel in Court of Appeal in relation to a very large Singapore seated arbitration involving ultra large allegations of fraud in an Indian Pharma conglomerate.
  • Routinely acting in the Singapore High Court and the Singapore International Commercial Court in jurisdiction and setting aside applications arising from international arbitration proceedings.
